Surprise! We've Moved!

 Well, it has definitely been a hot minute since I posted on here, but I promise it is for good reason! 

Spring ended, A went back to in person school, and summer rolled around.  I began thinking about what if we sold our home, and asked Chris about it.  Of course my plan was to sell and stay in the Nashville area, but Chris had to be a little more difficult. "I mean I think we should sell, but if we do, I think we should move to Florida." So I rolled my eyes and said yeah ok, and started doing more research about selling our house.  During this time Chris was applying for jobs in Florida, with me knowing darn well it wasn't going to happen, so I was busy looking for a new house in the middle Tennessee area. A Friday evening rolls around and I find a job opening for Chris doing what he wanted to do, in Florida.  So he applies, gets a phone call the next day to set up an interview for the following Monday.  Monday comes, he has his phone interview.  30 minutes later they called with a job offer, and by that Wednesday an offer letter and package was signed, sealed, and delivered.  2 days later our house went on the market, and less than 40 days later we were officially Florida residents. When I tell you it all happened so fast, it all happened so fast. There were days I felt like I couldn't catch my breath, between selling the house, having movers come, finding a new place to live in a different state, getting school established, etc.  It was ALOT. We also had a hard time with our families being sad, I mean no one really had time to prepare for it or wrap their heads around it. I will do a separate post on the process of selling our second home, trust me it was a doozy! 

But I am happy to report that we pulled through and made it to the other side! We have been in Florida about 2 and a half months now, and so far we love it! We are temporarily living in an apartment (800 sq feet with 4 people and 3 dogs is real fun let me tell ya) while we are waiting on our house to be finished being built. I will also have to do a separate post on how we found our new house because it is quite the story, but for now I will share where we are currently at in the process. We should be moved into it sometime in February and we cannot wait!

As far as Florida life goes, we have been like tourists just soaking up all that Florida has to offer.  Living 15 minutes from the ocean is so nice and a luxury that I pray our kids don't ever take for granted. 

We of course couldn't move to Florida without going to Disney World! I will do a post on this as well, but we went to Boo Bash and had a great time! 

I think we are finally starting to get into a routine here and it is nice! A is in school, gymnastics, and both kids have a Bible study group that they go to once a month! The transition hasn't been the easiest, but I think the kids have definitely been making the best of it and for that I am grateful!
