I am going to go ahead and let you know, that I have no green thumb what-so-ever. I get upset when my husband orders me expensive flowers because I know I am just going to kill them in about 3 days flat. Being married 10 years now, he finally has gotten it down that if you're going to buy me flowers, just go to the grocery store and get those, because they are just as pretty and so much cheaper!
Which brings me to today's DIY. Did you know you can make a beautiful floral arrangement from just grocery store flowers? I personally love getting them from Kroger because they always have an amazing selection of greenery, but I have heard Publix is great too!
All you need is a vase with water, scissors, and your choice of greenery and flowers. I purchased a bouquet of eucalyptus leaves ($6) and 2 bouquets of pretty colorful florals with some greenery ($5 each). So for a whopping total of $16 I was able to make this gorgeous floral centerpiece for my dining room.
I unwrapped each bouquet and separated them by flower. Then I cut the ends of the stems off with my scissors (a few shorter than others to add depth to the arrangement).
